Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year

The first full day of school for all students K-12 is Tuesday, September 3, 2024!

Welcome Back!   Whether you are a new student or a returning student, we are glad to have you as part of our Longwood family.

Below, you will find lists of resources with helpful information as students and families get ready for a successful start to the year.  Check back often because we'll continue to update this page. 

 

Important Dates to Remember!

August 21 -  Junior High School Seventh Grade Orientation
                           A-L: 9 AM and M-Z: 11 AM
August 22 - Middle School Fifth Grade Orientation
                           A-K: 8:30 AM and L-Z: 10:30 AM
August 26 - High School Ninth Grade Orientation
                           A-M: 10 AM and N-Z: 12 PM

School Calendar and Parent Guide

The school calendar and parent guide has been delivered to all residents of the Longwood Central School District.   Please bookmark this link to keep the electronic file handy.

ParentSquare provides a simple and safe way for everyone at school to receive timely information and to communicate with your child’s teachers.

Parent Portal

The PowerSchool Parent Portal provides secure online access to view schedules, attendance, grades, classroom assignments, NYS Assessment Reports, as well as the ability to make changes to phone numbers, email addresses, and emergency contacts. 

Click this link to verify your information and add email addresses and cell phone numbers.  Make sure your information is current, and all fields are complete and accurate.  

 

School Supplies

K-5 Supply List:

Due to the variety of schedules and courses among students, there are no universal supply lists for sixth grade, the Junior High School, and High School.  Supplies will be teacher specific and will be communicated to students in their individual classes.

Child Nutrition

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand!  The Child Nutrition Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals who are dedicated to students' health, well-being, and ability to learn.
