School Safety

The School Safety Department's mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors. Students cannot get a proper education if they do not feel safe in school. Utilizing the most current strategies and best practices in school safety in conjunction with access control, intrusion detection, closed circuit television and mobile patrol, the security staff maintains the physical security of Longwood's fifty-three square mile district 24/7.

Our highly trained safety staff attends training programs regularly which has prepared them to assist during emergencies.   The Longwood School Safety Department has partnered with emergency response agencies and the community to host emergency action drills in an effort to create awareness and preparedness. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our students, staff and community.
