Still
Bertram Still was born on September 23,
1892 at Middle Island, New York. He was the son of William and
Louisa Still of Middle Island. Before enlisting in the service he was a farmer employed by
William Sidney Smith of Yaphank. At Middle Island, New York.
Enlisted in the Army , Company C, 306th Infantry. The
306th was part of the 77th Division, which had trained at Camp Upton
in Yaphank before going overseas.
Bertram Still died in 1968 at the age of 78
and is buried in the Union Cemetery at Middle Island
