District Leadership

Superintendent of Schools Lance Lohman, Ed.D.

Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I hope that you all enjoyed many opportunities to relax, recharge, and reconnect this summer break. This is truly an exciting time, and we are all looking forward to welcoming our students back on Thursday, September 1, 2022.

This summer set the stage for the new school year as our schools were filled with many expanded learning opportunities for our students in which they engaged in specialized programs, explored interests, and further built upon important strong and supportive relationships. Our administrators and teachers are eagerly anticipating engaging our students in new and exciting learning experiences, with many of our faculty participating in summer professional learning opportunities in order to best support these important initiatives in our classrooms.

As always, we take great pride in providing every student with opportunities to form positive relationships, a true sense of belonging, and to become actively involved in the Longwood School Community. This year, we continue in our commitment to proactively connect with our families to partner together toward encouraging and enhancing overall student learning and well-being.

We encourage all of our parents to remain involved in their child's education and we look forward to continuing to collaborate with our families and community members to provide the high-quality educational program and experiences that all of our students deserve.

I truly hope that you and your family enjoyed a well-deserved summer break, filled with self-care, adventure, and a little simple downtime to connect with loved ones and friends.

Sincerely,

Lance Lohman, Ed.D.
