For more than two decades, Anthony Grausso has been a cornerstone of the Longwood Central School District—a passionate educator, innovative thinker, and trusted leader whose influence extends far beyond the science classroom. Now serving as Assistant Principal at Longwood High School, Mr. Grausso continues to exemplify the Longwood spirit through his dedication to collaboration, student achievement, and continuous growth.

Since joining the district in 2002, Mr. Grausso has inspired generations of students through engaging and rigorous science instruction. His lessons reflect both curiosity and rigor, aligning with the Next Generation Science Standards while connecting content to real-world problem-solving. Equally committed to his colleagues, he has served as a mentor, curriculum coordinator, and partners with families to ensure that every learner has the support and opportunity to succeed.

Beyond his classroom work, Mr. Grausso has played a pivotal role in the development of Longwood’s Master Schedule for the past 13 years. Working alongside administrators and department leaders, he has helped shape the academic foundation of each school year—balancing student needs, instructional priorities, and programmatic innovation. His insight, patience, and collaborative approach have made him an indispensable member of the leadership team.

Mr. Grausso’s commitment to innovation is also evident through his work as Class Advisor, Drone Program Advisor, and LAP Administrator Substitute, where he encourages creativity, builds community, and amplifies student voice. As part of the Performance Matters Pilot Team, he has helped advance districtwide data practices that strengthen teaching and learning outcomes.

Mr. Grausso holds a Master’s in Science and Education and an Educational Leadership Certification, continually pursuing new ways to serve and inspire.
