Three Seniors Named Commended Students in 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program
Longwood High School seniors John Dang, Rishi Ghatta, and Alexandra Noreika have been designated Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program.
"To be named Commended Students demonstrates outstanding potential for academic success," stated Longwood High School Principal Dr. Sam Ahmed. "John, Rishi, and Alexandra have displayed academic excellence and a strong work ethic throughout their high school career. We are proud to have them as leaders in our school community."
Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation have demonstrated outstanding exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed in the top 50,000 students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
