At the January 8th BOE meeting, the Longwood Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. The first day of school for students in grades K-12 is Thursday, September 3, 2026.

- Oct. 12 — Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day
- Nov. 3 — Superintendent's Conference Day (No School for Students)
- Nov. 11 — Veterans Day
- Nov. 25–27 — Thanksgiving Recess
- Dec. 24–Jan. 1 — Winter Recess
- Jan. 18 — Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Feb. 15–19 — Mid-Winter Recess
- March 9 — Eid al-Fitr
- March 25 — Holy Thursday
- March 26 — Good Friday
- April 19–23 — Spring Recess
- May 17 — Eid al-Adha (Emergency Closing if needed)
- May 27–28 — Emergency Closings (if needed)
- May 31 — Memorial Day
