Longwood High School Senior Honored by Suffolk County Police Commissioner Harrison

Longwood High School senior Grace Sutherland was recently honored by Suffolk County Police Department Commissioner Rodney Harrison.

Joined by Board Vice President Victoria Molloy, Board Member William Massian, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lohman, Grace was honored for her advocacy to introduce legislation for childproof packaging on CBD and cannabis products to minimize pediatric overdosing. Grace is working with local legislators to bring the bill to the New York Senate and Assembly.

Grace was also honored for her continued volunteerism and dedication to the Longwood community. 

"You are an extraordinary and dedicated student who embraces the Longwood School District's motto of Every One ... Every Day," said Commissioner Harrison. "The outstanding example you have set should incentivize others. I commend you for leading by example and actively participating in your community."
