Longwood High School Junior Taylor Hailstalk Selected for Prestigious 2025 Bill of Rights Institute Student Fellowship

Taylor Hailstalk -

We are proud to share that Taylor Hailstalk, a junior at Longwood High School, has been selected as one of only 20 students nationwide for the highly esteemed 2025 Student Fellowship with the Bill of Rights Institute. This remarkable achievement reflects her commitment to civic engagement, leadership, and good citizenship.

Taylor earned this honor through a highly competitive selection process, which included educator nominations and thoughtful essays on leadership and civic responsibility. Throughout this six-month fellowship, she will engage in advanced leadership training and immersive civic engagement, honing the skills necessary to contribute meaningfully to civil society.

The program will conclude with a week-long, hands-on experience in Washington, D.C., where Taylor will collaborate with other exceptional students nationwide.

Rachel Davison Humphries, the Bill of Rights Institute’s Sr. Director of Civic Learning Initiatives said she is looking forward to a rich educational experience with this year’s Fellows.

“Our Student Fellows prove each year that we may come from different backgrounds or hold different beliefs, but we can all come together, learn from each other, and engage around key founding principles, like liberty, justice, and equality,” she said.

The Bill of Rights Institute is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that teaches civics and history through market-leading curricula and educational programs for teachers and students. To learn more about the Bill of Rights Institute, visit www.mybri.org.
