Longwood High School Celebrates the Class of 2025 at the 62nd Annual Commencement
On Friday, June 27, 2025, Longwood High School proudly held its 62nd Annual Commencement Ceremony, an inspiring and heartfelt evening celebrating the accomplishments of nearly 800 graduating seniors. Held on the Longwood High School Football Field, the event was filled with tradition, joy, and powerful moments shared by families, friends, and our school community.

As Pomp and Circumstance was performed by the talented Longwood High School Concert Band members, the Class of 2025 walked onto the field. Board of Education President Victoria Molloy welcomed families and friends and offered the graduates thoughtful guidance for the road ahead. “The world needs more leaders and even more listeners,” she said. “A voice with no volume can’t be heard—never be afraid to share yours. Keep learning, and most of all, enjoy the journey. That’s where you’ll discover who you truly are.”

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lance Lohman expressed his pride in the graduating class and reaffirmed Longwood’s support for its students and families. “We will always be here for you,” he shared. “If you ever feel lost or need anything, just know, we’ll leave the light on for you.”

High School Principal Dr. Ahmed reflected on the resilience of the Class of 2025 and encouraged them to take risks and embrace every opportunity for growth. “Learn. Grow. Take pride in your achievements. Don’t rush through life—pause to celebrate the victories,” he said. “I’m incredibly proud of you and believe in your potential to make a meaningful difference in this world.”

Speeches from Co-Valedictorians Emma Boles and Jared Cox, Salutatorian Joseph Caliendo, Class President Carlie Preudhomme, and Student Council President Alexandra Comiskey highlighted memories, friendships, and the shared experiences that shaped their high school journey. They honored the moments that connected them with humor, heart, and gratitude and looked ahead to the future with optimism. The evening concluded with the presentation of the Class of 2025, awarding of diplomas and a proud recessional.

Congratulations to the Longwood High School Class of 2025—your story is just beginning, and remember, your entire Longwood community will be cheering you on.
