Longwood High School Class of 2022 Valedictorian & Salutatorian

Longwood Central School District is proud to announce this year's valedictorian and salutatorian for the Longwood High School Class of 2022, Laura Alt and Adrian Morel. 

Finishing at the top of her class, valedictorian Laura Alt will pursue a degree in Biology with a minor in Musical Theater at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Laura is an AP Scholar with Distinction, achieved high honor roll, and received numerous AP Academic Awards.

Laura, a gifted actor, singer, dancer, and performer, has been an integral part of five high school theatrical productions, including the lead character in You Can't Take it With You. She also serves as the current secretary of the School Council and is a member of the National Honor Society and Tri-M Honor Society.

Outside of school, she serves as a volunteer at the United Methodist Church Food Pantry and the Victory Games. She is a featured dancer and soloist in Three Village Musical Theater and also works as a hostess at the Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard. 

Salutatorian Adrian Morel will attend Stony Brook University this fall to pursue a major in Business Management.

He is an AP Scholar with Distinction, a member of the Early College High School Program, won the Hispanic Heritage Award, and has received numerous Academic Achievement Awards. 

Throughout high school, Adrian has earned high honor roll. He is a high school band, National Honor Society, and Environmental Club member. Outside of school, Adrian works as a service advocate at Target.

"Laura and Adrian serve as outstanding leaders and role models for their peers and are each outstanding examples of what the Longwood community's pride, spirit, and heart are all about," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lohman. "We are so proud of their achievements both inside and outside the classroom, and look forward to hearing about all of their future accomplishments."
