Girls' Varsity Volleyball Team Win First Round

Congratulations to the Lady Lions, Coach Chong, and Assistant Coach Valentine on their sweep of the Northport Tigers in three sets for the first round of playoffs! 

Leading the team was Nina Vanderhoof with 13 kills, 2 aces, 2 digs, and 6 blocks. Ainsley Hololob had 9 kills, and 2 blocks, Ashley Klees had 8 kills, 5 digs, 3 aces, and 1 block, and Iris Mulvey had 7 kills and 1 block. Jules Gallo had 1 ace, 19 assists, and 3 digs, and Alexa Preston had 18 assists. Bella Perrone had 1 assist and 10 digs. 

The team will take on top-seeded Smithtown West on Thursday, October 27 at 5:00 pm.

The team recently celebrated five senior student-athletes, along with their families, for their hard work and determination throughout their high school careers. Congratulations to seniors Alexa Preston, Ashley Klees, Julia Walcott, Jada Walcott, Nina Vanderhoof, Jada Pressley, and Iris Mulvey.

The Lady Lions ended their season with a 9-1 record, and move on to the playoffs next week.
