As per Commissioner Regulation Part 155.17, school districts are required to develop district-wide school safety plans in alignment with building-level emergency response plans. In Longwood, a District-wide School Safety Team has been appointed and charged with plan development.
Pursuant to the same Commissioner Regulation, a public hearing must be held to present the new plan. The public hearing for the District-wide Safety Plan will be held for 30 days starting today through July 31, 2026, and adopted by the Board on August 27, 2026.
