Social Studies Department Mission Statement: To provide our youth with a sense of the past and an understanding of the ideals on which political, economic, and social development has been based.  Through this framework they can develop the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making that will enable them to meet creatively and intelligently  the challenges of a changing world and become lifelong learners.
