Areas of Reponsibility:

It is the responsibility of the high school principal to ensure that LHS is a happy, stimulating and orderly place in which to teach and learn.

The principal, with faculty, administrative and parental input, defines the educational goals that students, teachers and parents work to achieve each year. Rules, regulations and policies are well-thought-out, well publicized, and fairly and consistently enforced. Accountability is essential! For everyone: students, teachers, parents, administrators, guidance counselors, coaches, paraprofessionals and custodians.

The principal sets the tone in the building by treating everyone with dignity and respect, and the expectation that they are capable of individual excellence.

With sound leadership coming from the principal and assistant principals, an atmosphere of discovery, challenge and caring should be evident to all who enter the building. Teachers should enjoy their jobs and relish the opportunity to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with young people, many of whom will choose a particular career because of the passion awakened in them by one outstanding teacher.

Please feel free to make an appointment to see me if you have any issue or concern that has not been resolved after you have spoken first with the assistant principal directly responsible for the supervision of your child.
