This house at Ridge, Long Island was built in 1820 by John Laws, and is still standing. The picture was taken in 1938. The house has a beautifully hand-carved mantelpiece. The house became property of Charles Randall. Presently, the Middle Island Game farm, which is managed by New York State, occupies the site.
