Casa Bordone
Casa Bordone
Hotel and Restaurant Offers You the Finest in Italian The Casa Bordone opened for business as a restaurant and hotel in the 1940s. It stayed open as a restaurant until the 1970s. The following item is from the Longwood Lantern in 1998.
My husband's parents owned this local hotel and restaurant which
was called "Casa Bordone." It is located on Mill Road in Coram.
Homemade Italian and American foods were served here. The
restaurant opened in 1945. It seemed to be run as a type of bed and
breakfast with the best food on the island. My husband and I got
married in 1973 and I've lived here for almost 25 years, loving
every minute of it.
We always receive compliments from people who had visited the
Casa Bordone at one time or another. They all raved about the
homemade dishes that were prepared by my husband's parents, Euclide
and Mary Bordone. All the visitors always felt like part of the
family.
Thank you for taking an interest in our home.
Sincerely,
(Steve and) Donna Bordone,
Coram, New York
Helen Thebold of Middle Island recalled being able to phone ahead to place your order. "When you arrived," Helen said, "your favorite meal would be waiting for you at Casa Bordone." Now that's service! If you have any information about this restaurant please contact us so we can update this page.
