Annual Reorganization Meeting of the Board of EducationAt the July 2, Annual Reorganization meeting of the Longwood Board of Education, newly-elected trustee Christina Brown and re-elected trustee Paul Infranco took the oath of office, administered by District Clerk Lillian Pizzolo, for new three-year terms.

The Board also appointed Penelope Blizzard-McGrath, Esq., President and Rhonda Stitham, Ed.D., Vice President, Board of Education; Dr. Michael R. Lonergan, Superintendent of Schools; and Lillian M. Pizzolo, District Clerk.

Before the start of the regularly scheduled meeting, Dr. McGrath extended her thanks to past Board President Frank Muraca for his years of service on the Board.

“I would like to thank Mr. Muraca for his nine years of dedicated service to the Longwood community and school district,” said Dr. McGrath. “I know his heart was always in the right place, and I’ve personally learned a tremendous amount from him. Thank you, Mr. Muraca, for teaching me and taking the time away from your family and personal life to serve on the Longwood Board of Education.”
