The bond passes!  Thank you to the Longwood School community...

We express our sincere appreciation to the Longwood community for the successful passage of the Capital Improvement Project Bond.

On Tuesday, October 17, voters passed a $39.1 million bond that will improve instructional facilities, provide additional safety and security measures for our students and staff, and have a long-term impact on our instructional programs and district operations. The bond passed with a more than 62 percent majority vote with a total of 748 people voting yes to 454 who voted no.

Strong schools correlate with strong communities, and the necessary improvements we can now make will ensure the long-term health of our community through education.

The bond will be used to create a new STEAM lab at the middle school, upgrade new video technology, install 11 new handicapped accessible playgrounds, construct a new administrative facility, and provide essential site improvements throughout the district.  Student-athletes and our community groups will have access to a new multipurpose athletic space and will enjoy newly refurbished fields.  Safety upgrades will be implemented throughout the District with secured access entrances and improved security cameras.  Additional parking will also be added.

We will keep you informed as progress is made on the new projects and the numerous repairs that will be made to our buildings.

It’s because of all of you that we will build a future that is filled with Longwood Pride!
