Central Registration

Central Registration is located at Charles E. Walters Elementary School, Primary Building (back building), 15 Everett Drive, Yaphank. For information on hours, please call 631.345.2162.

2019-20 Online Registration is Open! 

Online registration will take approximately 30 minutes per child. If you need to step away, save your session and you can resume later by logging back in.

Follow the steps below to begin your child's registration process.

Step 1: To begin the online registration process, gather the necessary documentation listed below.  All documentation must be uploaded to PowerSchool Enrollment.

Proof of residency in the school district. A parent must provide one of the following documents to establish proof of residency: a Town of Brookhaven tax bill, a deed, mortgage statement; if renting, a lease and two utility bills (PSEG and phone/water bill), or the district's Affidavit of Landlord, plus proof of landlord's ownership, i.e., tax bill/deed.  Click here for Affidavit Landlord form.

An original birth certificate with a raised seal or a passport

Immunization dates from a physician signed or a previous school. 

To claim a religious exemption, an exemption form must be completed.  Click here to download.

Transfer or discharge notice from the former school district (except kindergarten)

If a student has a disability, an IEP is required

To access PowerSchool Enrollment in Spanish, click on the globe located on the upper right corner of the screen.

If this is the first child you are registering in the district through the PowerSchool online registration form, you will be required to create an InfoSnap account before you can proceed. This account can be used to register any other children in the future as well. Please note that this is NOT a PowerSchool Parent Portal account username and password.

Step 3: You will receive an email message from Central Registration informing you of the status of your submission



Technical Support is provided by PowerSchool as follows: 

If a parent needs assistance with completing the online form, there is a “Help” button on the right side of the InfoSnap screen that provides technical support via email or phone. Parents have access to the “Help” link after they have created their online account. At this point in the registration process, the technical support is provided by PowerSchool Registration, the online/off-site vendor.  Central Registration does not have access to the account before the online registration is completed.
